> Giving Options

Elder Services is able to extend providing the best possible choices in elder care that enable older people to remain in their own home, promoting independence, as long as it is safely possible with the continued support of individuals, businesses, organizations and foundations.

To make gifts of cash, appreciated securities, personal and tangible property (including artwork and real estate) or an estate gift, please consider the following options:

General Gifts

This is the most common way to contribute to Elder Services. We have established the Elder Care Fund, which serves as a flexible funding source providing emergency assistance when no other resource can be found. It has helped hundreds of older adults who found themselves in unique situations or in need of basic necessities and services.

Gift Program

Our Gift Program includes  memorials and celebrations of a special tribute. Through our Program you can pay honor to loved ones, friends or colleagues.  A beautifully designed card is sent to the person designated by the donor, and a thank you card is sent to the donor. These gifts directly benefit our Elder Care Fund, a way to “pay it forward”, that ensures financial resources are there when we receive the next call for help. Each gift is acknowledged to the individual and/or family. In some instances, in lieu of flowers, families make Elder Services their Charity of Choice. Celebration gifts are used to extend best wishes on birthdays, anniversaries, grandchildren or graduations or any of life’s other milestones.  A minimum donation of $5.00 is requested.

Special Events

Each year Elder Services hosts a variety of fundraising activities and events. Some activities are constant while others are special events. The public is always welcome to participate in any of these activities, which include our Annual Meeting, Winter Gala, Annual Golf Classic, Personal Auto Discount Program, and others.

In-kind

In – Kind contributions for special events are also welcome. Contributions are tax deductible as permitted by law.  All gifts benefit older adults or individuals with disabilities living in the Merrimack Valley.  We frequently receive support from local businesses and community members in the form of gift cards or packages to include in silent auctions and raffles.

Planned Gifts

Planned Gifts are a range of financial vehicles including, bequests, charitable gift annuities, trusts or paid up life insurance. Some of these must be arranged with an individual’s financial advisory or attorney. Our finance Department can work with you and your finance advisory to make appropriate arrangements.

Endowment

Elder Services established an endowment over a decade ago called, The Generation-2-Generation Fund, to ensure a funding stream for the future needs of the agency. You can choose for your donation to benefit the Endowment by contacting us for assistance.
