Welcome to Elder Services of the
Merrimack Valley, Inc.!
Where the challenges of care giving
can be solved.
Chances are you or someone you know is providing care for an elder relative, friend, or neighbor. It may be something as simple as a weekly phone call or grocery shopping, or a more demanding responsibility of daily visits or round the clock care.
For many of us these challenges are added to a full schedule of family and work obligations, and may become a source of stress or concern. We want you to know you don’t have to do it alone. Elder Services has the experience and the resources to help you find the best choices in elder care.
How We Can Help
Call our
Age Information Center
at 1-800-892-0890.
Our age information specialists are ready to hear your story.
Elder Services provides information on services and programs focused on supporting the efforts of older adults, those with disabilities, their caregivers and families whose desire is to remain active, safe and independent at home. Our service area is the 23 cities and towns of the Merrimack Valley (click to see our map). However, if necessary we can give you information about eldercare options throughout the state and the nation.
We help families find the right options to support individuals who want to live in their own home. Our staff, of Care Managers and Nurses, works with thousands of older adults each day to make sure they have the right services, living arrangements, and access to good health care, nutrition and benefits.
We can help find alternatives to nursing homes with supportive housing options and creative living arrangements. We contract with many different care providers to insure services are delivered that meet a wide variety of individual needs. We offer families, who are elder caregivers, information, assistance and respite, to support their efforts in caring for an older loved one.
Some of our programs and services have eligibility requirements or may be cost shared with consumers. However, an assessment or referral service is available to everyone, regardless of income or need.
For more information call our toll free number 1-800-892-0890, and ask to speak to the Age Information Center. Experienced and knowledgeable professionals are there to listen and help.
