Events to Secure Additional Financial Support
for Programs and Services
Throughout the year special fund raising events are planned to assist
us in responding to the needs of older adults and their families.
The Elder Care Fund is an assistance program entirely
supported by private donations and fund raising events. Monies may be
requested to purchase items of medical necessity, food, shelter,
short-term home care services, respite care or home health care.
 | Gift / Memorial Program
Donations are accepted in memory of an individual or in
celebration of a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, retirement,
new baby). A specially designed card will be sent to the person
designated by the donor, at a minimum donation of $5.00.

 | Auto Insurance Discount Program
Elder Services and Doherty Insurance Agency, located in Andover, are partners in
a program offering Massachusetts’s residents a minimum 8% discount on
their automobile insurance. The insurance company donates a
small percentage of the premium to help fund programs and services for
older adults living in the Merrimack Valley.

 | Club 1001 Lottery
A raffle of only 500 three-digit numbers are sold annually.
Numbers are drawn on the last Tuesday of every month, eight prizes are
awarded to the lucky winners: $500, $200, $100, 4-$50, and $25.
Membership is available for $50 yearly. This is
both an opportunity to win money and contribute to our fund raising
efforts.

 | “North of Boston” Entertainment Books
Discounts on a wide range of services and entertainment. The
books, sold during the months of November and December, are a great
holiday gifts idea for friends, relatives or a special acknowledgment
for staff. Elder Services receives a portion of the book sale proceeds.
