Why Give

Every day, more than 5,000 older adults, adults with disabilities, families and caregivers depend on Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley to provide in-home services, programs and community support that helps keep them safe and independent in their own homes. Services may include grocery shopping or meals, help with laundry, homemaking or, when necessary, finding transportation to medical appointments.

Our Elder Care Fund, a financial resource, can help with items of basic necessity like medicine, food, fuel, dentures and eyeglasses when no other resource is available. Elder Services coordinates volunteer programs like money management to assist with basic money matters; medical advocates who can accompany an elder to medical appointments or a health benefits counselors who can explain Medicare benefits and private health insurance options.
