We would like to invite you and your loved one to join us for a fun engaging activity and a chance to make new friends – it is an opportunity for you both to take a break from the everyday challenges of dementia and enjoy an afternoon together.
A memory café is sort of a “time out” from the challenges of memory impairment. It is a welcoming and non-judgmental place for people with Alzheimer’s or dementia and their caregivers to enjoy time some together, recovering that relationship that sometimes seems to have been lost. It is also a chance to meet other individuals with dementia and their caregivers who may be facing some of the same struggles and understand, first hand, the difficulties of the disease.
Free • Refreshments will be served.
We will have Barbara Maffeo from Brain and Body Yoga to do some stretching exercises and we will also pack Thank You Packs for those in the military serving overseas. We will have Pie to Celebrate November which is National Family Caregiver Month.
Reservations are Required.

If you are not familiar with Memory Cafes, here is a video that was recently produced by Beth Soltzberg, MSW who facilitates the Percolator Network in Massachusetts and work out of the Jewish Family and Children’s Services in Massachusetts. The video highlights the benefits of Memory Cafes for those living with Memory Loss and their Caregivers.
