Having trouble finding a ride to a medical appointment?
CareRide is a subsidized transportation service for non-emergency medical appointments, offered by Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley and North Shore, for anyone 65 plus who resides in the Greater Lowell area. CareRide provides on-demand transportation to doctors’ appointments and health and wellness programs when no other transportation options are available. The program uses Lyft and handicap-accessible vans to provide transportation, depending on the consumers need.
The program is referral-based and all referrals for CareRide services are processed by the Program Coordinator. If you live in one of the communities listed below, please feel free to reach out to Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley and North Shore or your local Council on Aging/Senior Center to find out more about this program:
CareRide is a subsidized fare of $4.00 per ride within the Greater Lowell area. Price is subject to higher rate if traveling outside the Greater Lowell area.
