Reopening Massachusetts

On Monday, May 18, Governor Charlie Baker announced the state’s 4 phase reopening plan for Massachusetts.  As an essential service, Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley-North Shore has been and will continue to assist older adults and individuals with disabilities throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.  Over the last few months, we’ve quickly adopted new ways of operating to meet the growing and changing needs of our communities. We will continue to work remotely for the foreseeable future, and our commitment to providing the right services to our consumers remains unchanged.  Plans to reopen our physical offices in Lawrence and Danvers will be dictated by four guiding principles:

  1. Keeping employees and consumers safe
  2. Mitigating the risk of exposure by staff, consumes and visitors
  3. Providing a flexible work environment while maintaining highest quality services to our consumers; and
  4. Establishing clear communications with staff, consumers, and the communities we serve

In the meantime, Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley-North Shore remains open to serve the needs in each of our communities and the consumers who live in them. If you, or someone you know needs help, contact our Information Services Department anytime at info@esmv.org.
